Global Center for Indigenous Leadership

The Global Center for Indigenous Leadership and Lifeways (GCILL) is an informal umbrella created to support short-term and long-term projects that educate and inform people about indigenous ways of knowing and wisdom for modern times—spirituality that raises human consciousness and harmonious relationship with Mother Earth.

The initial focus of GCILL is to advance the capacity to share the messages of wisdomkeepers, including the work of Ilarion (Larry) Merculieff while helping others and Mother Earth.

In 2012, this mainly involved working with the public and public speaking.

In 2013, more public speaking engagements will be pursued. In addition, efforts will be made to conduct at least four programs for people who seek a deeper understanding of these messages and want to know how to work and conduct discourse and dialogue in a good way in dealing with difficult issues.

Other project possibilities include a book based on traditional knowledge and wisdom shared in meetings with people from different cultures, another book focused on global warming from an indigenous perspective and hosting a gathering of elders.

At some point, it is hoped that GCILL will become its own 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

In 2012-2013, The WILD Foundation has been our fiscal sponsor.
