Preconference workshop #1: Innovation Workshop: “Innovation as a model for transforming the corporate culture in Mexico” (An additional registration fee is needed for this activity). UNIVA, 

Instructor: Dr. Francisco Navarrete Báez, Full-time Faculty and Researcher - Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA) and Mtro. Andrés Barba Vargas, International Relations Professor at UNIVA

Description:  The first hour will address the actions promoted by the government, industry and academia of Jalisco for the implementation of a triple helix development model in the state, with the aim of consolidating an area of innovation in the region. This first part will serve as context for the delivery of the innovation workshop in Mexico. In the second part (3hrs), the panorama of innovation will be addressed as a process of transformation of the business culture in Mexico, as well as the social component of innovation in our country. Participants will discuss the types of innovation and its applicability in the Mexican context. They will also make comparative analyzes with models implemented in other countries.

Preconference workshop #3: Mexican Style Entrepreneurship Workshop

Offered by Tecnológico de Monterrey en Guadalajara (ITESM). An additional registration fee is needed for this activity.

Presenter/Facilitator: Isaac Lemor, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Applied Finance at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Guadalajara campus

Description: This workshop will review differences in the entrepreneurship worlds of Mexico and Latin America`s other giant: Brazil as well as the increasing opportunities of senior adult entrepreneurship.
